Active Days, Relaxed Evenings
There’s a version of a walking vacation where you’re checking a map every 20 minutes arguing about which fork to take and hauling a backpack that gets heavier with each step. This is NOT that.
There’s a version of group trips where you are on a bus for 2-3 hours at a time with 38 people who you don’t know and getting 30 minutes to explore each site before you’re being hauled to the next destination because the itinerary is planned down to the second. This is NOT that.
The British term “Ramble” means to walk leisurely along paths through fields, woods, and hills. For six days, you’ll walk the Cotswold Way at a pace that allows you to breathe! The countryside here is built for exactly this: golden-stone villages, hedgerow-lined footpaths, sheep that don’t care that you’re there. All experienced along a marked trail with a local guide who knows the way.
The Broadway Tower will rise above you on day one. By day three, you’ll be standing inside Sudeley Castle, the final resting place of Henry VIII’s last wife. At the end of the week, you will have climbed the highest point on the entire trail and stood at the end of Devil’s Chimney overlooking Cheltenham. The pace will be deliberate but also allowing you to take in each step.
The evenings are entirely up to you. Some nights will offer a group dinner around a long table for us to share our inside jokes from the day or our favorite viewpoint on the walk so far. Other nights will allow you to enjoy a pint in the local pub or peruse the small shops to find some treasures or take in a late dinner with your new or old friends.

Michelle McAllister
This trip is personal for me. England was always one of my top bucket list countries and when I first went back in 2023, I knew I would return. Then my husband saw a reel on Instagram about travelers hiking the Cotswold Way trail about 2 years ago & I had my excuse to return!
I love spending my weekends hiking and exploring parks around my home. Not only is it something that I enjoy but my husband, Kevin, loves it too. It’s a great way that we can share a workout together when we’re not off playing separate team sports with our friends. Even though I love a good team competition, there’s nothing like the feeling of accomplishment & pride when you complete a long hike! Walking the Cotswold Way seems like a no brainer trip for us to take.
I will be walking with you throughout the journey along with my husband. My goal is to finish the whole Cotswold Way Trail so I will be doing the full 102-mile trek. I hope you will join me on the challenge of the northern portion (48 miles in 6 days) or the full trail (102 miles in 11 days). Space will be limited on both so reserve yours soon.
